Our Services

Norvex provides book services including ghostwriting, editing, cover design, publishing and distribution setup, printing, and marketing. The specific work included in your project is defined in the scope we confirm with you before work begins. We provide professional services only. We do not guarantee sales, rankings, reviews, bestseller status, or any particular commercial result.

Quotes, Scope, and Confirmation

Prices listed on our website are starting rates. Your final price depends on your selected service, manuscript length, project complexity, required formats, and approved scope. We confirm the work, deliverables, responsibilities, payment terms, and total price with you before production begins. Any work not included in your confirmed scope is discussed and approved separately before it is added.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your confirmed scope or agreement. We may require full payment in advance or payment in milestones, depending on the service. Work begins once the agreed payment or first milestone is received. Prices are in US dollars. You are responsible for any third-party costs that are separate from our fee, such as printing costs, advertising budget, and provider fees for services like copyright registration, unless your scope states otherwise.

Revisions

The number of revision rounds included in your project is set out in your scope or the service you selected. Additional revisions beyond those included may be quoted separately. Revisions cover refinements to the agreed work and do not include new requirements or a change in project direction after work has been approved.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, materials, and timely feedback so we can complete your project. You confirm that any manuscript, images, or other material you provide is yours to use, or that you have the necessary rights and permissions, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate any law. Delays in providing materials or approvals may affect your timeline.

Ownership and Intellectual Property

Your work. You retain ownership of your manuscript, your book, and the rights and royalties connected to it. Where a service produces a finished deliverable such as a manuscript, cover, or print-ready file, ownership of that deliverable transfers to you once payment for the relevant work is complete.

Ghostwriting. For ghostwriting services, the finished manuscript is yours. Your ghostwriter does not claim authorship, does not appear as the author, and does not publish your book in their own name. We keep your project confidential.

Our website. The content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and design, is owned by Norvex or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse it without our permission.

Portfolio and promotion. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we will not display your book or identify you as a client in ways that conflict with the confidential nature of ghostwriting. Where a service is not confidential, we may reference completed work as part of our portfolio, and you may ask us not to.

Third-Party Platforms and Services

Some services involve third-party platforms such as retailers, print providers, and advertising networks. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms. Accounts we set up for publishing and distribution are registered in your name and remain under your control. We are not responsible for the actions, policies, fees, or availability of third-party platforms.

Refunds and Cancellation

Because our services involve professional work performed specifically for you, refunds are handled according to the terms in your confirmed scope. Work already completed at the time of cancellation is not refundable. If you wish to cancel a project, contact us and we will confirm the status of the work and any amounts due or refundable based on what has been completed.

No Guarantee of Results

We provide professional services with reasonable skill and care, but we do not guarantee any particular outcome. This includes, but is not limited to, book sales, revenue, reviews, rankings, awards, media coverage, or acceptance by any retailer or platform. Publishing and market outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Norvex is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Norvex harmless from any claims, damages, or costs arising from material you provide to us, your infringement of any third-party rights, your breach of these Terms, or your use of the finished work after it is delivered to you.

Disclaimer

Our website and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, beyond those that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota and the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute relating to these Terms or our services will be handled in the courts located in Minnesota, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
